A Safe Space to Heal, Grow, and Believe Again

By Maria Jose Orellana | Project Leader

During the first months of the year, the AMA Program continued strengthening itself as a safe space for emotional support, psychological assistance, and empowerment for vulnerable women and families.

Through experiential workshops, group activities, and individual therapeutic processes, the program focused on strengthening self-esteem, mental health, emotional well-being, and family relationships.

Among the main activities carried out were workshops on:

  • Human Rights
  • Self-Esteem and Self-Awareness
  • Self-Care and Emotional Well-Being
  • Dance and Mental Health – “Rising with Strength”
  • Secure Attachment for Mothers and Children
  • Anxiety, Relaxation, and Mindfulness
  • Yoga and Holistic Wellness

These spaces allowed many women to strengthen their confidence, learn tools to manage anxiety and stress, improve family relationships, and regain hope in their personal journeys.

In addition to the group workshops, the program also provided individual psychological support to address issues such as:

  • Anxiety and depression
  • Violence and traumatic experiences
  • Self-esteem
  • Family relationships
  • Grief and loss processes
  • Parenting and family bonding
  • Emotional regulation

Many participants showed significant progress in their emotional well-being, personal autonomy, and quality of life, with several successfully completing their therapeutic processes.

The AMA Program continues reaffirming its commitment to supporting women and families through a humane, holistic, and community-centered approach, promoting spaces for healing, empowerment, and the construction of a more dignified and hopeful future.
