This project seeks to bring the innovative technological trends in programming. 200 children and youth of low-income communities in Venezuela will be benefited to enhance their skills for employability and entrepreneurship. Students will learn how develop Websites, Apps and Animation adding a new dimension to digital inclusion which will allow them enter in one of the most fascinating 21st century jobs.
The existing digital divide in Venezuela complemented with the lack of job skills are major obstacles for young people to strive for the chance of a decent job from which to build a better future. In addition, according with a study held by best universities in the country, 1 out of 5 students drop out school at age of 15. This project will serve 200 children and youth in low-income communities in Caracas to generate new opportunities of employment or sustainable enterprises.
SUPERATEC' s Project "Programming and Transforming" is intended to give tools to children and youngsters from popular schools or those who drop out school in Venezuela to obtain necessary skills in computational thinking and programming environments to be able to perform and have access to the labor supply demanded by 21st century society.
Today, demand for programmers has increased exponentially, as the digital environment requires companies to develop and grow in a world dominated by new technologies. This reality has allowed the career or trade of Programmer to be quoted and the demand for these talents exceeds the offer. This project will train 200 children and youth and will place at least 50 alumni over 18 years old in jobs through our Job Bank.
