New Vocational Course: Pastry Making!
This new training cycle is now part of Fundación Espartanos’ Human and Professional Development Program.
We chose to launch new courses specifically for women because, within the prison system, they are the forgotten minority. They face a double challenge: surviving in a male-dominated environment marked by a deeply rooted culture of machismo. When it comes to reintegration opportunities, they’re often the last in line.
This project includes both personal development and vocational training — focusing on skills that can be practiced from home. Why? Because 90% of the Espartanas are mothers, and when they regain their freedom, their greatest wish is to be reunited with their children.
After release, the responsibility of raising their children makes it even harder to start over. That’s why we invest in training that empowers them to work independently, generate income, and support their families — without having to choose between being a mother and building a future.
We aim to open doors so that 50 Espartanas gain the tools to grow, learn, and build a future full of opportunity.
