Because of your support, children, women, older persons, and displaced families are gaining access to critical healthcare services, life-saving medicines, clean water, and essential health education that help protect them from cholera, malaria, acute fevers, and other preventable diseases.

With your generous support, the SYS team has implemented a range of life-saving interventions aimed at preventing and controlling the spread of waterborne and vector-borne diseases among vulnerable communities in Yemen. Key activities included:

• Conducting community awareness and health education campaigns targeting vulnerable populations and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Sana’a, promoting disease prevention practices, personal hygiene, and early treatment-seeking behaviors.

• Distributing 40 hygiene kits to the most vulnerable households and displaced families in Sana’a, helping to improve hygiene conditions and reduce the risk of disease transmission.
• Supporting health centers in Bani Al-Harith District through the provision and distribution of essential vaccines, contributing to the prevention of infectious diseases, and strengthening community health resilience.
• Implementing mosquito control and vector management activities by treating stagnant water sources and reducing mosquito breeding sites helping to curb the spread of malaria and other mosquito-borne diseases.

These interventions are helping vulnerable families better protect themselves against disease outbreaks and improve their overall health and well-being. Every contribution you make enables us to reach communities facing immense hardship and provide timely, life-saving support where it is needed most.

One displaced mother who participated in our health awareness activities shared that she had never previously received information about cholera prevention and safe hygiene practices. Through the awareness sessions, she learned practical measures to protect her children from disease and expressed hope that her family would be better prepared to stay healthy. Stories like hers remind us that your support is not only delivering assistance—it is empowering families with knowledge that can save lives.

Together, we are not only fighting cholera—we are combating malaria, acute fevers, and other preventable illnesses that continue to threaten vulnerable communities across Yemen. Your compassion is restoring hope, protecting families, and creating healthier futures.
