Dear our donors,
Thanks for standing with us in this hard time in South Sudan!
Be informed that the charity had suspended recruiting new volunteers because of the civil war in most part of 2018. Those who were already in the ground had long left due to insecurity.
These unusual circumstances gave us no choice. It had a negative impact on our ability to collect information from the ground because the charity relays on unpaid aid workers. As a result we have been unable to post you field update reports.
We halted temporarily our activities in South Sudan for eight months. This means that your donations and gifts from different resources have been set aside. The charity resumes it operation in Omilling after this report. This’s because the government and rebel have signed a peace deal formally ending a five-year war that has destroyed the economy and killed tens of thousands.
At the time of this report:
From February to November 2018 no activity took place at the project site. This's because the warfare was swelling and there was no personal safety in rural areas before this peace agreement.
After this report we will post you a fresh report to let you know the South Sudan peace development and the status of your project from the ground.
