Stop South Sudanese Moms from Dying in Childbirth

The South Sudanese mothers are more than 90 times more likely to die in childbirth than those in Kenya, a health workshop in Juba reported.

“For every woman who dies in childbirth, there are 100 others in rural communities who suffer from serious and often mutilating or debilitating complication, “said South Sudan health ministry”

With the ongoing war in a country, the South Sudan ministry of health estimates that about 300,000 mothers die every year in South Sudan as a result of complications due to childbirth and lack of birthing kits.

You supplied the clinic with three maternity pads, two sutures, and four boxes cotton wool.

 We are unable to deliver the life-saving supplies to the village health post because of worsening insecurity in South Sudan.  Now the war is fully-fledged in the entire country. Temporarily, the activity of this need had been suspended as Hope Ofiriha will not risk sending the staff in Magwi County. We are hopeful peace will return soon.

Army attack prompts mass exodus from Magwi County South Sudan.
Regime troops - slaughter, and burned a life villagers like mammals as thousands flee during an attacked in Pajok. Over 6,000 people have fled into Uganda from South Sudan in this single operation. More civilians are still hiding in the bush trying to reach Lamwo district of Uganda.

At this second reporting:

Before this report, we were not able to deliver critically needed supplies due to deepening insecurity. Now, is fully-fledged graver than before because the fighting is rising in the country. We have suspended operating in Magwi County because we will not risk sending our staff for a fear of their lives.

In Omilling, mothers are the backbones of the family and community. Hope Ofiriha will do everything not to hurt them - but delivers their “dire needed medical supplies” when it catches an opportunity to do so. When the security gets better, Hope Ofiriha resumes operation straightaway.
