As the Government orders of no gathering of more than four people have literally stopped our evening khichri distribution, a vegetable stew with rice and lentils and the rations distribution is our best way of helping the most vulnerable; daily wage workers; cleaners; rickshaw drivers and all those who don't have any means of earning at the moment as their work has been suspended.
Within the months of April, May, and June Food Rations (monthly grocery supplies) have been provided to over 2250 families through the support of your generous contributions. Each family received 10Kg of wheat flour, 10Kg of rice, 2Kg of lentils, 2 liters of cooking oil, 1Kg of soya chunks, 1Kg of salt, 1Kg of sugar, few packets of biscuits and vegetables. The beneficiaries who are receiving this support are families of FFLV students with extreme financial difficulties, many single mothers as well as poor households of Vrindavan and nearby slums.
FFLV has distributed more than 40,000 Kilograms of Wheat flour/Rice, 4000 Kilograms of pulses, 4000 liters of cooking oil, 800 Kg of soya chunks, 2000 Kg of salt, 3000 Kg of sugar to 2250 families. The distribution took place within the 45 days cycle when each family got food support for one month.
Among 2250 families, recipients of this wonderful support system are the numerous families of our 1500 Sandipani Muni Schoolgirls, 300 families living below the poverty line in slums, and hundreds of daily workers, widows, and Sadhus. Many more are still on our waiting list…
Any act of kindness, no matter how small, it's magic and carries goodwill with it. A small contribution of just $25 / £20 per Ration will be greatly appreciated, Please donate now
