Vrindavan floods caused a lot of damage, leaving countless families struggling to rebuild their lives. Many lost their homes, belongings, and livelihoods. It's been so challenging that even schoolgirls had to resort to drying their books in the sun just so they could keep studying.

In the wake of the devastating floods that left many families in distress, Food for Life Vrindavan distributed food ration packets to those who lost everything, helping them cope during this challenging time. Our initiative aims to alleviate some of the hardships faced by these affected communities. The food ration packets included essential supplies like rice, lentils, cooking oil, flour, biscuits, and other nutritious items. We also provided them with essential items like bedding mattresses, blankets, bedsheets, mats, and nets. These provisions can sustain families during their road to recovery and empower them to focus on rebuilding their lives without worrying about the basic necessities.

The floods in Vrindavan also led to a surge in waterborne diseases, causing immense suffering among the affected population. Among these, eye flu became alarmingly common. In response to this crisis, Food for Life Vrindavan took proactive measures to support the community's health and well-being. Organizing a medical camp, we aimed to provide crucial medical assistance and essential medicines to those afflicted by the flood. This camp served as a lifeline for the people in need, ensuring they received proper treatment to combat the spread of diseases.

We plan to continue the medical camp for several days, reaching out to as many Vrindavan residents as possible. By doing so, we strive to bring relief and healing to those grappling with health challenges amidst this difficult time.

Thank you to all those who donated during this time, however, we still need your support. Your small act of kindness can make their lives a little easier. We kindly ask you to consider donating and supporting the poorest of the poor in Vrindavan. Your generosity can truly make a difference in their lives.

The First Group is Dubai's leading real estate developer and property investment company which always support us in enriching young lives. We were privileged to welcome Amanda and Irina, at FFLV. They joined the morning assembly, and our school girls performed many programs to welcome them. They conducted a yoga session for our school girls.

In the evening, they visited one of our school girl's homes. Most of them come from slums, and it was heartbreaking for Amanda & Irina to see their lifestyle. Later, they also came for the evening meal distribution and served prasadam to needy people.

The next day they visited their sponsored classrooms, FFLV's Organic farm, and Gaushala. They interviewed the founder of FFLV, Rupa Raghunath Das, and Ineke zondag, about the journey of FFLV. They also interviewed two of our school girls to know more about how FFLV impacted their lives and the importance of education for girls.

New Year Gift Festival has started and when we go out to distribute gift packs in the village schools, we see kids just like at FFLV, beautiful smiling innocent faces, excited to receive their goodies. Kids who, if given an opportunity, can go on to achieve great things in life just like the girls at FFLV. However, Kids for whom we felt deeply saddened, because due to the lack of basic facilities, they will be pushed back into the poverty even though they had their chance at education.

So many times we take basic things in life for granted and complain to God for the things we do not have. But for these kids your gift pack means a lot, it is a very big happiness which they receive once a year. We have distributed over 2800 gift packs till now, we wish to distribute over 5000 gift packs all around Vrindavan, in the month of January. Keep it running, thank you for all your support.

It was an honor for Sandipani Muni School to welcome Madam Amrita Uday Lalit and her team from the Supreme Court of India. She has been practicing at the High Court, New Delhi, and also working as a social worker to provide legal aid to handicapped, widows, minority groups, and poor people. As the brand ambassador and trainer for the “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” drive, she has done amazing services for women. Along with her, Shri Ashok Jain, Shri Sanjay Singh, Shri Rajiv Bharti, and Madam Sonika from the Legal Authorities of India joined the event.

The mission of theis workshop was to interact with the young students of FFLV School and local widows to raise awareness about the opportunities, rights, and duties they have. She addressed our girls saying “You have the equal rights and opportunities as men have. The goddess of wealth is Laxmi, the goddess of power and strength is Durga and the goddess of wisdom is Saraswati. Women are the epitome of wealth and power. So don’t let yourself down because of some pre-conceived notions a society holds.”

They also established a legal-aid clinic in Vrindavan as the first legal-aid clinic in a pilgrimage in Uttar Pradesh.
