Summary

This project will provide cervical cancer screening, HPV vaccination, and early treatment services to over 2,000 women and girls in underserved communities across Kenya. Through community outreaches and school-based programs, we will detect precancerous conditions early, prevent new infections, and connect high-risk patients to life-saving treatment, reducing preventable deaths and improving women's health outcomes.

Challenge

Cervical cancer is a leading cause of death among women in Kenya, yet it is preventable. Many women in rural areas lack access to screening, HPV vaccination, and treatment. Due to poverty, low awareness, and limited health services, most are diagnosed late. This affects thousands of women and girls, putting families and communities at risk of losing mothers, caregivers, and income earners.

Solution

This project will deliver cervical cancer screening, HPV vaccination, and early treatment through community outreaches and school programs. Women will receive Pap smears, HPV testing, and immediate care for precancerous conditions. Girls will be vaccinated against HPV. Education and mobilization will increase awareness, while referrals will ensure high-risk patients receive timely treatment.

Long-Term Impact

This project will help over 2,000 women and girls access prevention and early treatment, reducing cervical cancer deaths. It will build awareness, encourage routine screening, and increase vaccination rates. Healthier women will strengthen families and communities, creating lasting impact by reducing preventable disease and improving women's long-term health outcomes in underserved areas.
