We need your help to save America's Youth. The 63-year running Presidential Youth Fitness Program (PYFP), the approved and recommended in-school program to promote physical activity and provide state and national-level assessment testing needs funding. The program affects 50 million kids across 88,000 schools. The Centers for Disease Control states that PYFP significantly improves physical health, mental health, socio-economic health and environmental health. America's youth are counting on us.
The Presidential Youth Fitness Program, the approved and recommended in-school program to promote physical activity and provide state and national-level assessment testing by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Department of Health and Human Services, does not have any more funding.
The PYFP daily curriculum, reaching nearly 50 million school-aged children, focuses on aerobic, fitness, strength exercises and health education. The achievement-based effort gives kids the ability to track progress and earn medals, patches, t-shirts and certificates at important milestones. For some, these are the only medals a child earns in their life!
More than 50 million kids across 88,000 schools will have access to a daily PYFP curriculum. Increasing school-based physical activity significantly improves physical health, mental health, socio-economic health and environmental health Because there are no federal requirements for PE, PYFP provides the best opportunity for schools, school districts, and states to implement a high quality, comprehensive national fitness education and assessment program.
