Portable water provision for Iwokiri community

Summary

Iwokiri community is a settlement located in Nembe local government area of bayelsa state, in Nigeria. It is located on a river bank but with no portable water to drink, Residents fetch water from contaminated wells and rivers that also increases health risks. The Chief Engr. Olali Peters Ebifate foundation has identified the need for portable water for the community, and therefore is embarking on this project to construct a water facility for the community to ease their sufferings.

Challenge

The major problem is the absence of portable drinking water in a community surrounded by water. The foundation sees the need to provide portable water to reduce or totally stop the spread of diseases caused by the absence of pipe borne water.

Solution

There is a saying that water is life, and providing water for the community will impact their life's positively for a long time. Making the community free from diseases.

Long-Term Impact

This project will impact positively by providing not only clean water to a good number of people living in the community but also preventing water borne diseases.
