Dear GlobalGiving Community,
On the 26th of August, we organized an event to celebrate and mark the conclusion of two years of dedicated and passionate work with the project's farmers. This gathering took place at Carlos Murcia's farm in Facatativá, Cundinamarca, where he has been an active member of the project since its inception.
During this memorable day, we conducted a nutritional workshop for the attending farmers. Subsequently, we presented our activities and enjoyed a friendly meal before embarking on a tour of the farm. A truly special moment occurred when we awarded SPG certification diplomas, symbolizing the culmination of an extraordinary collective effort. It was a fitting tribute to the tireless work put in by both the producers and our team members.
Finally, the day concluded with insightful discussions and exchanges on the current issues concerning rural life and agroecology in Colombia. We wish to express our profound gratitude to all those who financially supported this project, enabling 25 farmers and their families to receive their diplomas. We would like to extend our special thanks to the GlobalGiving community, without whom this wonderful day would not have been possible.
Our commitment to supporting farmers will continue, and our shared journey is far from over. Through the trust we've built and ongoing communication with the producers, we hope to return as soon as possible to share news of exciting new projects.
We extend our warmest thanks for your support.
The PSF Team.
