Playgrounds of Peace for Children in Syria

Dear Supporter,

We would like to thank everyone who has supported this initiative to create safe sports and recreational spaces for children in Syria.

Although the project is still in its early stages, your support is helping us move closer to a vision that goes far beyond building sports fields. This initiative is about creating places where children can feel safe, connect with one another, and experience the simple joys of childhood that many have missed during years of conflict and displacement.

Across dozens of communities, thousands of children continue to grow up with limited access to safe recreational opportunities. Many spend their days without structured activities that encourage teamwork, friendship, and healthy social interaction.

With the support received so far, preparations are underway to begin the planning phase of the project. Current efforts include coordinating with local stakeholders, assessing implementation requirements, reviewing site readiness, and developing the operational framework needed to ensure the sports facilities can serve children safely and effectively.

The project aims to transform available land into welcoming community spaces where children can participate in football, basketball, volleyball, and other positive group activities under appropriate supervision.

However, fundraising is still at a very early stage.

Significant resources are still needed before construction, equipment procurement, and program activities can begin. Every new contribution helps bring us closer to creating spaces where children can play, learn teamwork, build friendships, and strengthen their confidence.

For many children, these fields will represent far more than sports facilities. They will become places where trust can be rebuilt, social connections can grow, and young people can develop skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.
