By Faiz Alali | Projects Leader
For many children in Syria, years of conflict and displacement have meant growing up without safe spaces where they can play, make friends, and simply enjoy being children.
Our Playgrounds of Peace project was developed to create safe, welcoming spaces where children from different backgrounds can come together through football, basketball, volleyball, and other structured activities.
The planned sports fields will provide more than a place to play. They will give children opportunities to build teamwork, communication, confidence, and positive relationships while helping strengthen connections within their communities.
The project has not yet received the funding needed to begin implementation, but the need for safe spaces for children remains significant.
With continued support, we hope to transform available land into welcoming community sports spaces where children can play safely, develop important life skills, and build friendships across their communities.
We remain committed to creating opportunities for Syrian children to experience play, connection, and hope after years of displacement and hardship.
Thank you for caring about the children of Syria and helping us keep the vision of safe spaces for them alive.
