Dear Patrons,
RWAYDAVO is pleased to share an update on our eucalyptus tree plantation in Buyoga, Rwanda.
We are happy to report that the approximately 9,500 eucalyptus trees are growing well, even during the summer season. Our recent monitoring shows an estimated 99% survival rate.
The attached photo shows the current growth of the trees and the progress of the plantation.
About 1% of the trees did not survive due to environmental factors. We plan to replace these trees during the September short rainy season to maintain the planned tree density.
We are grateful to all our donors, volunteers, and community members for their support. Your contribution is helping us restore the environment and create a greener future for our community.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Jean Damascene Uwizeyimana
