"Pickup China "originated in 2014 is the first environmental protection public welfare brand in China that focuses on outdoor garbage issues and advocates "Pick up at your own convenience". We are committed to realizing "everyone can discover (garbage) and participate in (pickup)" ", to promote the joint action of cleaning among the public , guide the public to pay attention to environmental issues, and take action to clean our mountains and outdoors with our hands.
Since the beginning of the 21st century, the Earth has been facing increasingly serious challenges related to garbage pollution, climate change, and biodiversity. In the past 10 years of work, we have found three main reasons for the public's indifference to outdoor waste: a lack of understanding of the impact of waste on the environment, excessive extravagance and waste habits that generate more waste, and a lack of understanding of how to handle one's own waste.
We promote environmental awareness and education to the public by organizing garbage disposal activities, mobilizing public participation in the joint activities such as World Cleanup Day, and promoting environmental protection concepts such as zero-waste lifestyle, garbage classification, and plastic waste recycling.
Through our project on GlobalGiving, we hope to achieve the following goals in the future 1. Enhance public awareness on the environmental protection 2. Promote the participation of diverse social forces in clean-up activities 3. Promote garbage recycling and system construction 4. Impact on corporate social responsibility 5. Establish a platform for the cross-border communication
