Dear friend,

We send our warm greetings to you from Pakistan. We hope you had a wonderful May, as we did. June is hot here! But we're doing our best to keep our selves rolling! We have some fantastic news to tell you as well as some updates about the things we are up to. We want to THANK YOU for supporting us abundantly and it is through your eagerness that 15 additional girls have been enrolled in one of the PEP school just in a month! This is an awesome accomlishment, because only 20% of the females are literate in the rural areas where we work and girls are the last to have this opportunity to recieve an education due to strict cultural traditions.

Through a PEP program called Women's Empowerment Group (WEG), we have been able to reach to this neglected population and specially women and girls and encouraged them to progress and become change agents in their society. This program started last year with 15 villages, and today we have a total of 30 villages participating in the program. The Women's Empowerment Group (WEG) are designed to boost girls' education and provide an opprtunity for women to increase their confidence, skills, and knowledge.

This year PEP also focuses to mentor and empower our existing schools so that they might make an even BIGGER impact on their communities. We believe that through our working together we can make a difference in our life as well as in the lives of people around us!  Learn about a girl in Pakistan and how her family chose to invest in her education. Empower girls like her!
