Our first pilot project “Mírame Crecer” was a huge success. The workshop series, offered to low-income girls and teenagers thanks to joint sponsorship by Mírame and Pathway to Womanhood, was a great gateway to opening girls to the power of listening to their bodies and to tune into their innate cyclicity. Since the pilot's completion, we’ve been analyzing the impact the course had on the girls and their environment. The end result: we’ve seen how deeply the girls connected to the power and inner wisdom that comes from recognizing their balanced feminined side. Introducing new generations to this empowerment can break the taboos and prejudices women have about our cyclicity, and the roles we have as women within society.
This great gateway that has been opened through the girls program has allowed us to observe that not only girls need this type of space to share information and knowledge, but in general women of all ages need these types of spaces to share. Many of our girls in the pilot attended our workshops with their mothers or sisters, and we now see how it would be an excellent opportunity to share the same knowledge of our first project to different scopes of women, at different levels of depth. In this way, we spread the wisdom of cyclicity and body attunement and continue sharing with all women within the family and external environments.
From this expanded understanding, our program “Mírame Vivir” was born. This is a series of three intensive workshops where we will share the wisdom first crafted in the girls program to women in more mature stages of life. Based on the same 4 archetypes that accompany all women on their cyclical path; the first workshop will deal with the introductory part to cyclicity, our connection with the lunar cycles, and the following sessions will showcase and explore the 4 feminine archetypes and energies that walk with us on this path of womanhood.
In addition to sharing this dream with the women of our community, we have also started our project to empower women who are leaders of community work, because we believe that by nurturing and empowering these women, we allow them to continue nurturing and sharing with their communities and their people. This program, called “Mírame Triunfar”, is a collaboration with the CAP program from Hearts of Gold Foundation, where we offer workshops on empowerment, self-care, and reconnection with the Self, and we share useful practices and tools that can be applied on a daily basis.
We are very excited to continue the work and our plan is to begin with the next series of workshops for girls, “Mírame Crecer”, in the month of October. This year we also want to share our first series of workshops for women, “Mírame Vivir”, in the month of November, and each month we will continue hosting empowerment and self-care workshops through Mirame Triunfar.
With all our love and commitment, we dream that our projects “Mírame Crecer” for girls, “Mírame Vivir” for women in general, and “Mírame Triunfar” for women community leaders can grow and expand to bring this wisdom and awareness to all women in our communities, and the world.
