Discussion with prospective content developers have been promising, and revisions have been made to the website to reflect the features that the first beta release will have.The current funding has helped give us access to a low cost developer team who is graciously offering a large discount for their services.
The Beta is about sharing ideas. It is about networking with others, and helping others with their ideas. The Beta is about inspiration and discovery of how communities can work together to create different possibilities. We cannot wait to see what you have to share!
Future donations are going towards many aspects of the project- from advertisement to administrative staff. Currently, most money is going to support the development of the code that will run Organism, and website costs. Also, we will in the near future need to consult a lawyer to make sure that our terms of service is correct for protecting user data.
We are listening to suggestions, and also concerns with safety of copyright in the first release. It is being taken into consideration, and a terms of service will be available for review by the time the Beta opens for the public. We hope that the opening brings a chance for innovators to be able to share their ideas and help others, and for friendships to be formed. We also hope that has the program is tested out, that you will have many suggestions and ideas to make organisms better for you, and any project development !
