Looking back, the Organic Wellness Center Project was conceptualized at the start of the pandemic to benefit a community rich with raw materials to be able to have a center where those who have lost their jobs during the pandemic can find new hope by coming up with different livelihoods that will enable them to sustain their families.
It has been a long journey with this project as pandemic protocols hindered its construction adding to the fact that funding was scarce. Today, after the long wait, with GlobalGiving as a part of this project, we finally completed the project and successfully turned over the structure to the beneficiary community in Dauin, Negros Oriental thru a short blessing ceremony and signing of the Deed of Turnover between Foundation University, who designed and built the structure through its Department of Architecture Estudio Damgo Program, the only program of this kind in the Philippines.
With this report, we are very grateful to GlobalGiving for allowing us to be able to source out funds thru this site. We are hoping that it will continue to support similar projects of the university that is geared to help communities in Negros Oriental and beyond.
Thank you very much.
