Supporting this project will enable Ombisa to study nursing at Nairobi Hospital. Ombisa's parents passed away when he was young and life as an orphan in Nairobi slums is not easy. Turning Point has supported Ombisa through primary and secondary school, and he has worked hard to receive the grades needed to study nursing. Funding the course is well out of his reach, but with your help, we can help Ombisa study nursing as a first step towards his dreams of becoming a doctor.
Ombisa's parents died when he was young, and he has since relied on well-wishing friends and relatives to help provide him with shelter and food. He earns small amounts of money doing odd jobs, such as working in a kitchen, to get by. However, the money is small and without assistance in finding funds, Ombisa's ambition of becoming a nurse will remain just a distant dream.
By raising the funds, we can realise Ombisa's dreams and help him to study nursing.
Having a Diploma in nursing will broaden Ombisa's job prospects and he will have a real chance of escaping the harsh conditions that life has thrown at him.
