Receiving trees
Hi Dear Friends & Donors,
On 25th March we had our local Tree Giving Day. We distributed 2,000 ! trees to farmers at Oldonyong’iro village. They will plant the trees along their plots. This is for shade for the plants and animals, for strengthening the biodiversity and for later for some wood production.
Thanks to a number of donors this has been made possible again and the Environmental Conservation Committee will see to it that they are well cared for. Thanks again to all donors for your generous donations, we are very happy with these trees.
If you want contribute to our next Tree Giving Day in 2026? For $1 a tree seedling can be planted, so your travels can be carbon neutral.
If you have more questions, please contact us. We are happy to inform you.
Best Regards,
Pendaeli Amos & Peter de Laat

A half year after our planting event!

autumn 2024
Hi dear donors,
Time flies, so here a new update on our tree project.
On 24th October 2024, Pendaeli Amos visited Oldonyong’iro village where we planted 4,000 trees in March of this year. The issue of climate change is hitting everywhere but farmers at this village made great effort to make sure their trees are growing healthy.
Pressure from drought, shortage of water and domestic animals are major problem for the survival of the trees. Farmers did fence their trees and watering them time to time, but according to my discussion with them and site visit, about 75% of trees survived from the three mentioned threats. Some trees are about 1.5 meters tall, in good condition and proceeding well.
We hope next year in late February we can plant more trees in another village in order to help farmers combat the climate change and make world a better place! If you want to plant your new trees also in Tanzania for us for just $1 per tree, than your our project and donate!
Best Regards, Pendaeli Amos and Peter de Laat

Hello Dear Donors,
We are happy to inform you that the people that received a tree are still very happy with your donation. The have planted their trees on the land and continue to keep it healthy. We had a lot of rain last month, but it is getting better soon.
The environmental conservation conmitty is monitoring the growth of the trees by making visits to planting sites and they are making plans for next plantingseason next year in March. In the main time we look a the incoming funds from visitors of Tanzania to offset their CO2 footprint.
When we look at our funds we can plan a hundred new trees next year, so we hope more people want to help planting trees in our beautiful country.
We want to thank you for your donation(s) and we will inform you next semester how this project is doing.
Best Regards,
Pendaeli Amos & Peter de Laat
