Nutritional Support for Cancer Patients in Ghana

By Selina Kwame | Project Director

Dear Supporters,

Cancer treatment can place a heavy financial burden on patients and families, leaving some patients struggling to maintain access to nutritious food while going through treatment. Adequate nutrition is an important part of supporting patients as they cope with the physical demands of cancer and its treatment.

What We Have Done So Far

Through this project, Adjah Cancer Support Ghana has been providing nutritional support to cancer patients experiencing financial difficulties. We have engaged with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to better understand the challenges patients face in accessing adequate food during treatment.

With donations received, we have provided food and nutritional assistance to cancer patients who need support. This assistance has helped patients and families manage some of the additional costs associated with cancer care and provided support during difficult periods of treatment.

We continue to identify vulnerable patients and families who need nutritional assistance and provide support where resources are available. Our work is particularly important for patients who are already facing treatment expenses, transportation costs, and other household financial pressures.

How Donations Are Helping

Donations are helping us provide food and nutritional support to cancer patients, reducing some of the financial pressure on vulnerable families. Each contribution helps us reach more patients and provide assistance throughout their treatment journey.

This project remains ongoing, and the need continues to be significant. With continued support, we hope to assist more cancer patients with nutritious food and help them face treatment with greater strength and dignity.

Thank you for helping us ensure that cancer patients do not have to face treatment while worrying about access to food. Your support makes a meaningful difference.
