We at Empowerment For the Poor Uganda continue to appreciate your love, kindness, support, and generosity. Thank you very much! With your generous support we have been able to increase access to food security and nutrition to a total of 300 vulnerable children and their households through providing individuals, families and communities with knowledge and skills for healthier eating, nutrition education that makes a real difference.

At the start of this rainy season, we have been able to promote food availability, food access and food utilization issues in order to sustainably reduce food insecurity among poor households and communities. Households have also been empowered with techniques of reducing underlying vulnerability to natural disasters like prolonged drought spell, increases temperatures, unreliable rains through promoting organic farming, tree planting and animal husbandry. The increased food availability in homes has increased children’s school attendance and retention as well as their academic performance.

Words cannot express how grateful we are for the gracious and kind support of our friends like you. You cannot imagine how much strength your support has given us. Today, there is much joy to see that children have enough nutritious foods on their table, their families can afford to even sell some food where they get an extra income. For example Mulawa not real  aged 13 years (not real names)   whose family  experienced great transformation has this story to tell.

“ These days we have enough food at home. My grand mother has vegetable kitchen gardens and goats. We have cereals, grains and nuts. We eat 3 meals a day and we are assured of a variety of fruits anytime. Even at our school we eat enough food” he asserted

Our program is on a steady progress of impacting many households and transforming the lives of many more children and their families in our communities. We sincerely thank you for your support, which has continued to change the lives of children; they are now happy and healthy. To continue transforming the lives of children, we to invite you to consider giving regularly to this project.

Thank you.
