For 13 years, Aj Ty v IT (eng. You Too in IT) has been empowering girls in Slovakia through tech education, breaking gender stereotypes and addressing the lack of inclusivity in the educational system. Our program provides girls aged 8-19 with hands-on experience in robotics, coding, and programming, sparking interest in STEM, boosting confidence, and developing critical skills for the job market. Help us inspire the next generation of women in tech!
In Slovakia, gender stereotypes and a non-inclusive education system prevent girls from pursuing STEM careers. With limited vocational training and few female role models in tech, many girls lack the confidence and skills to explore IT careers. As a result, the gender gap in technology persists, limiting opportunities for women in one of the fastest-growing fields. By introducing girls to coding and robotics early, we empower them to break barriers and shape the future of technology.
Our hands-on Game Coding and Robotics workshops make tech fun, accessible, and confidence-boosting for girls. By creating games, coding robots, and solving real-world challenges, they see tech as creative and exciting-no longer just for boys. These experiences break stereotypes, build problem-solving skills, and help girls realize they belong in STEM. With female mentors and a supportive community, we inspire girls to find joy in tech and envision a future in STEM.
By inspiring girls early, we create a pipeline of future women in tech, reducing the gender gap in Slovakia's IT sector. Hands-on learning builds confidence, problem-solving skills, and a passion for STEM, encouraging more girls to pursue IT education and careers. As they grow, they become role models, breaking stereotypes and fostering a more inclusive industry. Your support helps create lasting change-empowering girls today to become the tech leaders of tomorrow.
