This report is being written by the chief Engr. Olali Peters-Ebifate foundation on this Project named the Nembe River project cleanup on GlobalGiving.
as usual we will love to thank our donors and GlobalGiving for offering us a platform for sustainable funding in our bid to change the part of the world around us as a foundation that depends on donors to make a change.
This project Nembe river clean up project was choosen to be undertaken because of its health realted implications as the pollution contaminates air, water, sea foods and environment.
We were in Nembe to meet with volunteers in this month of October to intimate them of the project and plan the successful execution of the project depending on the availability of funds. Also the youths comprising boys and girls partaking in the execution were also intimated about the nembe river clean up project in the community.
We will proceed with proceed with the procurement of materials required for the cleanup before December 2023, therefore branded T shirts, polyethene bags, gloves, chemicals and trucks to cart away the refuse after the clean up.
We plan to outsource the chemical cleaning to experts as the volunteers lack the expertise to carry that out, there by making the environment clean and healthy for humans and seafood habitation.
The second quarter of next year will be the execution of the river bank cleanup according .to availability of funds.
