QUARTER APRIL – JUNE 2018
This is a time for goodbyes and new beginnings. The summer break for the students were during this quarter the students get 60days off as the summer temperatures are very high in this area. As soon as the exams are finished the students bid goodbye to friends and teachers and head home . The teachers work till mid April and complete preparing individual reports on each student , covering their academic performance and participation and performance in sports, and different games like volley ball, kabbadi, art , craft, cultural activities like music , dance , drama etc. and vocational skills. These reports are then sent to the office from where they are forwarded to the various donors.
New beginnings in the month of June when the students return from the vacation. The Class X students move on to college and the new admissions are the kindergarten kids.
The total strength of the school in June for the 2018-2019 428 - 210 girls and 218 boys.
The Class x students have once again, for the 10th consecutive year, brought laurels to the school by achieving cent percent, first class results in the State level Board exams. Congratulations to the students and teachers who coached them. All the 34 students passed in the 1st division, 30 of them received distinctions. Among the distinction students 20 of them scored more than 90%, 10 scored more than 85% and 4 students more than 80% .
The first event of the new academic year was held on the 3rd of June. Rhythmic Energy, a band with 30 members -all professionals, play for free at different venues, promoting sharing, compassion and energy; played for the students of the school. The session was interactive with the members including the students of all ages in each item through dance, mimicry, monologue etc. These students have all joined junior college to pursue college education.
GE Volunteer Sports Championship award
Neelbagh School participated in the Inter schools GE Volunteer Sports meet competition were held in Prabodhana in the GE Campus, Bangalore. The students bagged the 1st place in more than 14 events out of the 20 events and won the Overall Team GE Championship award.
A series of activities will be planned through the year for the students .
