Help AIDS orphans go to school in Kenya

It is another term with a lot of events. We have had rains. Very heavy rains which has destructed our iron-sheets buildings again which we had just reconstructed after another almost the same destruction.

We have had water everywhere, in classes, in our play-ground and even in our kitchen. But I thank the community who have kept on helping us. We pray to God that we get someone out there or a company which will come to help us construct permanent class-rooms to stop this recurrent destruction we get any time we have heavy rains.

We sincerely thank all our well-wishers who have kept on coming to our aid when we have these destructions. We thank our Area Chief who mobilized the community recently to come to our aid. We also sincerely thank our Donors on Globalgiving platform and now plead with them to continue extending their giving as these children depend on it. HELLEN, a girl who stays at a childrens home and comes for education at the centre said, "Mama Zipporah this is where I know I will get education and  food..... for sure just do what you can manage to reconstruct again and let us  learn! I dont see anywhere else I can go and learn and get food."  When these kids don’t get their medicines, food, clothes and learning materials the Centre gets stuck. We sincerely thank you and invite any suggestion from you which will make us do better than we are doing.

Now we are running short of food  and other essential stuff as most of what we had has been spent on reconstruction of these iron-sheet structures.

It was a term which started in a very hard situation. Nairobi was very dry during the months of November, December, January , February up to 21^st March when we received very heavy and destructive rain. The rain destructed most of our iron-sheet classes, flooded the play ground and we were forced to close the school and stay away.

 But we thank the community which came together and re-constructed the iron-sheet classes again. We also thank God for all those who are helping this Centre through Globalgiving by donating because through them, we have built a Library for the School/Centre, otherwise all books and other learning materials would have been destroyed. We also thank our Area Chief of Administration who mobilized the community to come over and re-construct the iron-sheet classes.

 When we resumed classes recently on 28^th April 2015, we have received many other kids that we do not know where some will sit as they learn because the benches and desks are few. But we thank God because of you as our donors and well-wishers because you are our helpers.. This situation is hard to handle, but we do it by the grace of God.

 Any suggestion from you as our donors and friends on how best to improve is welcome.   We are doing the best and the community is really helping. Again, we thank all of you for your wonderful support and we pray that one day we shall the support of constructing durable bricked classes and come out of this mess.
