Mzesa kids on trip
We opened with wonderful memories of well wishers who showered blessings of all sorts to these children. During the Christmas period, we had few shillings and managed to take these kids to the bomas of Kenya to watch various cultural dances and see various activities. We then proceeded to the Game Park where they saw various animals which they only read and had never seen them. This was wonderful time for them and they have never forgotten about the trips. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR EFFORTS AND BLESSINGS. Your donations have had a far reaching end for the kids and will never ever forget in their entire life.
We have continued to have blessings! We have been visited by various people who have donated clothes of various sizes, shoes and blankets. Our Councilor has bought 2 sacks of beans and 1 sack of maize for the kids to make sure that there is continuity for learning as it has been proved that when there is no food, most of the kids run back to the streets and dump-sides in search of food. Although food prices and other commodities has rocketed up, we have had our kids in their classes because of your continuous support. We thank everyone who has extended a kind hand and donated anything in form of money, clothes, food, shoes, etc be blessed. We continue to pray that God blesses you so mighty so that you continue blessing these kids in order for them to achieve something in their lives.
God bless,
Zipporah

The term has ended and we have closed the School. We thank God for this because we have not had any cases of serious sickness. We have not rushed any child in the hospital because of diarrhea or any other serious illness. This term we have managed to buy school uniforms to 15 boys and girls, we have registered the School in the Area Football Club (where they will be competing in the football), we have made sure that every child gets his or her medication (ARVs) on daily basis and we have managed to feed them, despite very high cost of food stuff.
We sincerely thank our donors and well wishers to the wonderful support they have given us, because without them, we couldn’t have managed to feed and clothe these kids. We also pray that next year be a blessing year for the children, since we now have Class 8 who are expecting to sit on their Std 8 examination (for the fist time). We believe that we shall be blessed with many friends and well wishers, donors and good somaritans who will extend their hands and support the Centre.
I take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported us this year in one way or another and on behalf of Mzesa Day Care Centre, we wish them A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a WONDERFUL NEW YEAR! Once again, thank you.

DIFFICULT TIMES

It has been very difficult this term. We have struggled with many children at the school; most of them going through very difficult moment with their uncles and aunties. With very high inflation here in Kenya, families are forcing their children and other siblings to go out and look for money and food anywhere, even on the streets. And since the school has started rationing food so that children eat lunch for 3 days only in a week, we are now experiencing more absenties than usual.
But we thank our well-wishers, donors and our dear friends who have stood with us during this very difficult times. We have had a few friends dropping some kilos of maize and beans, we have managed to buy 2 sacks of maize and 1 sack of beans from the funds we get from our dear donors through GlobalGiving. We thank you and really pray for you!
We have received T/Shirts from one of our Community headman and his family. We thank this family very much. We are praying and hoping that we shall soon get more beans and maize, flour and cooking oil and fire-wood so that we keep these children in school. We are also appealing to our donors and friends to give in a hand so that we can manage to buy school uniforms for those children who do not have. We also are kindly requesting our friends, donors and well-wishers to give in a hand so that we can buy some desks. In future, we are praying that we shall have all classes with comfortable desks.
We thank you all!! May God, our Almighty bless the works of your hands so that you can extend the same hand and bless these children.
God bless,
