CHALLENGES BUT GOD IS GREAT
By Zipporah Sangiluh | Project Leader

It gives me joy and hope to talk about the first quarter of this year. When we opened our Center in January, we faced a lot of challenges, but God has been on our side. We have had a very dry season. No rain, no water. But we have been very much assisted by the Nairobi Water Company and the Community by giving us water from the bore-holes. We have been visited by the Community and given books, food and stationaries.
We have registered a big number of children, just because of food. Our Feeding Program has challenges because of very high cost of living and food-stuffs have really gone up, but God is wonderful because we have had good-hearted people coming in to assist.
We are now appealing passionately to please continue donating to this Center. We depend on you for every cent you contribute. We have new children with no uniforms, shoes. We need an extra big Tank for water storage. Please give as your giving goes to a good and blessing cause.
We also welcome your comment and encouragement. Let us know how you feel on what we are doing.
God bless you as you help giving these childen some hope in their future.

YEAR FULL OF CHALLENGES
By Zipporah Sangiluh | Project Leader

We thank God and all our donors for their support. They have confidence in us and in what we are doing for the community, hence, their support has gone a long way to make an impact to these children.
Our class 8 sat for national exams on 1st, 2nd and 3rd November and we are happy to report that out of 15 boys and girls who sat for the exams, 10 of them will be taken by Government Schools.
We have managed to open a Secondary School on our compound to admit children who don’t get chances in Government Schools. We have made sure that all children have school uniforms, we make sure that all take porridge and lunch is taken by all although, it has been a struggle for us to get food for them, but through assistance from the community we have managed to go through this year. A VERY DIFFICULT YEAR!! We are introducing computer classes for bigger children and we now two computers. 4 of our children have gone through the lessons and have sat for examination.
We take this opportunity to thank all donors and well wishers for their valued support and request for any advises, and suggestions on how we can improve this centre to be better than it is now.
We wish you all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and trust that we keep our kind spirit of unity to the next year 2017

COMMUNITY CELEBRETES WITH OUR CHILDREN WHO PASSED EXAMS

children who passed
Working with the community is very interesting and joyous, as the term was full of activities.
We received 5 more children who were loitering and not going to school. Everyone in the neighboring community is on look out, whenever they find any child out of school, they will always refer them to us. This is so because our performance in examination is good and the community has appreciated us.
Within the term, we received food and clothes from the community. Our Area Chief organized for a get-together celebration for our children who performed and passed very well in the last examination. We really thank our donors, who have endlessly helped us and are still doing so to help us achieve this. Without you, as our donors, we could not go through this. At least we did not struggle to get food and drugs. We humbly thank you and would appreciate it if you could also give us any advice or idea on how to connect with more donors and friends, as we are now receiving more children. We thank you very much.
We also thank God for his favor and guidance, and pray that we continue helping these children for them to claim back their self- esteem.
God bless you,
