Sierra Leone is experiencing serious climate change. Due to continuous cutting down of trees and building thousands of homes in hilly and moist zones, such deforestation and exposition has taken place, which has caused mudslides and flooding on 14th August, 2017 in Freetown and up country, Largo - Kenema district. This has killed hundreds of people, destroying homes and displacing thousands of people. We are calling on friends, NGOs, etc, to help fund our relief and recovery project.
Donations to this project will help provide supplies such as food, water, clothing, hygiene products and also will provide any long-term recovery support needed such as school feeding, reforestation, clean water and sanitation, fees, uniforms, books and shoes to access basic education and livelihood in their new new location. ChildHelp will also partner with local and international organisations to bring in supplies, concentrating on our efforts to help the children live a better life.
Your donation will build healthy and strong relationship for future challenges; restoring lives, hope and normalcy. Your support will rebuild a better conducive social and humanitarian environment for our children and their families.
This project has provided additional documentation in a DOCX file (projdoc.docx).
