An outbreak of tornadoes tore through states in the midwest and southern United States on March 31, taking lives and causing damage, including in Arkansas, Alabama, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana and Mississippi. Your donation to the 2023 Midwest and South US Tornado Relief Fund will meet emergency needs and help survivors recover.
Deadly storms and tornadoes caused significant damage across the midwest and southern United States, including Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Many of these communities are at risk of additional storms over the coming days. As needs emerge, donations to this fund will support relief and longer-term recovery efforts run by local, vetted organizations in the impacted area.
All donations made to this fund will support relief and recovery efforts in several states such as Arkansas, Iowa, Indiana, and Illinois. Initially, the fund will assist first responders in meeting the immediate needs of survivors, such as food, fuel, clean water, hygiene products, and shelter. After completing the initial relief work, this fund will shift its focus towards supporting longer-term recovery efforts run by local, vetted organizations.

When a disaster strikes, recovery efforts led by people who live and work in affected communities are often overlooked and underfunded. GlobalGiving is changing this reality. Since 2004, we've been shifting decision-making power to crises-affected communities through trust-based grantmaking and support.
We make it easy, quick, and safe to support people on the ground who understand needs in their communities better than anyone else.
They were there long before the news cameras arrived, and they’ll be there long after the cameras leave. They know how to make their communities more resilient to future disasters, and they’re already hard at work. GlobalGiving puts donations and grants directly into their hands. Because the status quo—which gives the vast majority of funding to a few large organizations—doesn’t make sense.
