Opportunity International offers financial services including; microloans, savings accounts, financial training and microinsurance to the world's most disadvantaged people. Opportunity International's work represents a sustainable solution to extreme poverty by empowering individuals in need to start small businesses or improve existing enterprises that help them to improve the quality of life for them and their families.

Over 15 million Ghanaians do not have formal employment. Our mission is to give these residents the resources they need so that they can start their own businesses and create jobs that will support their families for generations to come. These resources come in the form of charitable financial services including; microcredit loans, savings accounts and microinsurance. Your donations will directly fund and ensure that these services are rendered to the people that desperately need them.

Opportunity is helping farmers achieve higher productivity and protecting them from loss through the implementation of Opportunity agriculture finance strategy, which will allow families to build a sustainable framework increasing food security. With this strategy in place, farmers are able to take out larger loans for better seeds and fertilizers because their crops have been ensured against loss from natural disasters.

Long-Term Impact

Offering charitable financial services, especially crop insurance, is one of the most effective and sustainable solutions to reducing poverty and hunger. Opportunity International has been offering financial services to disadvantaged people for nearly 40 years and as it continues to do so, it's effects will continue to multiply across the developing world.
