3 Generations is an advocate for those afflicted by mental illness and trauma as a side effect of engaging with the criminal justice system. We make films about critical social justice issues: genocide, sex trafficking, Native American justice, refugees, ecocide, veterans, and criminal justice. In our first 15 years, we produced nine documentary features, 13 short documentary films, and hundreds of short videos telling powerful survivor stories. Through film, we enable those to record their experiences as an act of healing, a call to action, and historical evidence for future generations. We have been documenting stories about the effects of human rights abuses and trauma on mental health with the goal of influencing the national dialogue and building momentum for social change.

Our work has shown us that providing a platform for mental health issues intersects with every issue that we focus on. We will continue documenting important stories of mental health challenges and hope you continue to be a part of our 3G community.

As we dig deeper into our fight for these issues as well as climate justice and the protection of native lands, we examine their effects on global mental health. This effort is supported by our campaign Environmental Crisis on Native American Lands, and critically examined in the 3G documentary film A Different American Dream. Furthermore, one can not ignore the ongoing fight against genocide, and the effects of any crisis on mental health, which we address in our upcoming feature documentary HERE LIVED, supported by our campaign Survivors of Genocide

Please support 3 Generations as we complete another successful year of hearing stories and demanding change. For information or to support our other GlobalGiving projects, visit our 3generations.org and follow us on social media @3_generations. Thank you.
