Summary

Meerkats are primarily insectivores but also eat other animals (snakes, eggs, millipedes, centipedes plants and fungi etc) We try and provide this through a balanced diet here at DAKTARI. This project has been set up to give donors an opportunity to support our Meerkats. The cost includes assumed veterinary fees, medical coverage (medicine), enrichment (toys and treats) and also food for the year.

Challenge

Meerkats are friendly guys, they love the occasional egg and to lie down outside in the sun. We hope to keep them happy here at DAKTARI with toys and treats but this costs money, with your support we can provide for them a comfortable, happy life.

Solution

Continued support from our donors will help us achieve our ability to give a great standard of care to these animals.

Long-Term Impact

We provide education through DAKTARI Bush School & Wildlife Orphanage every week to 8 new school kids. The Meerkats help educate them in our program. We aim to protect animals by educating local communities about the environment and conservation.
