This project will fund urgently needed medical, dental, and optical assessments, treatments, therapy, and rehab programs for our impoverished children and rescued slum families. Many children require extensive medical tests such as MRIs, CT scans, etc. and will need treatment and therapy. Most children have serious dental decay. Many adults have never had their teeth checked or cleaned nor have they had vision tests. Our goal is to keep families together and help them become independent.
Our more than 400 slum and low income families lack the resources to recognize and understand the full extent of physical, mental, and emotional needs necessary for everyone to live an independent life that is free from suffering. Many need eye glasses, dental work and/or medical assessments and treatments and never consider seeing a medical professional because they do not have enough money. This project could positively affect 1000's.
Education and funding will identify and provide treatment for a wide variety of physical, mental and/or emotional needs of our slum and low income families. Through ongoing education, our families will be made aware of professional services that they could access. With improved health and corrected vision our more than 400 slum and low income families will have a much better opportunity to improve their lively hood and help move them out of poverty.
Members of our more than 400 slum and low income families will become self sufficient and break the chain of poverty that is rampant in Thailand. Children will be healthier and able to attend preschool and school. Adults will be able to get permanent, higher paying jobs which will enable them to move out of slum housing and live better, healthier and happier lives.
