April - June - Quarterly report

  • This quarter was focused on conducting summer camps for children in the schools around the Agastya Campus Creativity Lab, Gudivanka.
  • Ignators (Agastya instructors) also visited Operation Vasantha (Night Village School) Centres and conducted media sessions.
  • A session on stop-motion animation was conducted for children of Pushpalatha International school on 17th April. Over 6 animations films were created during thesession.
  • We piloted activities designed for the new curriculum during the summer camps. Activities that are a part of the introductory sessions, like themed posters and story writing, were introduced to children and received a positive response.
  • A week-long training program was conducted for Ignatorson tools of editing and photography.
  • The Ignators worked on creating prototypes of low-cost models that explained concepts like persistence of vision (Zeotrope)

 

Summer camps were conducted during the months of April, May and June. During these camps, children from 21 villages around Agastya Campus Creativity Lab explored the MediaArts Lab. 1650 children were reached through these camps.
