 1.  Summer camps:

  • Summer camps with engaging digital and hands-on media activities were held during the months of April and May.
  • Children from 16 schools were a part of the summer camp.

2. Refresher training for instructors

  • The month-long training was held in June and began with a review of the past year's activities and productions.
  • Immersive activities such as interactive photo walks, captivating screenings, and hands-on workshops on photo stories and stop-motion animation were integral components of the training.

3. Workbook redesign

Our redesigned workbook for the media program showcases a vibrant transformation, incorporating newer activities that align seamlessly with the curriculum, fostering interactivity and elevating the learning experience for both instructors and students.

4. Productions and Aha! Katha

  • Over 160 productions were created by children in the first year of the program, including videos, photo stories and storybooks.
  • A select few of these will be featured in the publication Aha! Katha. The selections have been compiled and the design process of the book is underway. It is expected to be completed by the 3rd week of August 2023.

5. Impact Assessment Framework

  • A framework to assess the impact of the MediaArts program has been designed. The framework has been designed to capture both the quantitative and qualitative impact of the program on children.
  • As a part of the quantitative assessment, surveys will be administered to children on 3 occasions-pre-intervention, mid-intervention and post-intervention.
  • As a part of the qualitative assessment, in-depth and structured interviews of the students will be conducted by the instructors.
  • The assessments will map variances in key criteria including expression, communication, storytelling, documentation, using tools and creating.
