In this quarter, MediaArts Lab reached a new cohort of children and focused on improving the quality of the productions from previous cohorts.

July 2021

  • Conducted online sessions for kids on Media activities.
  • Our team participated in a Zine workshop conducted by Megha Vishwanath, a Bengaluru based illustrator and designer
  • We also started physical contact sessions in Operation Vasantha (OV) centers. Every instructor visited the centers and conducted sessions based on the MediaArts Curriculum.

August 2021

  • Both online and offline sessions were conducted in Operation Vasantha centers throughout the month.
  • Children were divided into four groups based on their interests and trained in 2D animation, Photography, Videography, and storybook making.

September 2021

  • We began conducting sessions in schools while children in OV centres worked on completing their productions.
  • A community filmmaking program was started by a group of interns of the lab and successfully running with the help of OV volunteers.
  • Workbooks were distributed among children and we shifted to iPads and new recording equipment for this cohort of children.
  • Our instructors attended an Art integration workshop for two days in Agastya’s Art lab and participated in a Workshop on CCT on QA parameters.
