Challenges remain but we're making this work!

To begin, Maria would like to thank the Sponsors for making it possible to have the kitchen. She writes "It is going good and people are getting use to it. It is making a huge difference in our home as we at least manage to buy bread for our children every day out of the profit we make Monday to Friday. We cook and sell food, snacks, and drinks. Every thing is running smoothly and thinking of getting more things to sell as the time goes."
She then discusses the challenges they face:
- Getting the food truck to the site every day as gas is very expensive. It goes up every month.
- With no electricity on site, they must use a gas refrigerator and refill the gas bottle weekly to keep it going.
- They have no money to buy stock yet so have to shop daily.
- The van they use is not street approved so they need to pay the police a little something to let them keep it.
Probably the most critical problem is that there is not shelter for the customers to eat under. Without a canopy, gazebo or some form of shelter there is no where for diners to get out of the rain or hot sun. She believes that if there were covered seating they could make more money.
Our support is still greatly needed and certainly appreciated. Marie ends saying" I really like to thank you guys very much. because it really made a huge difference in our lives. It keeps Rebecca out of stress and she really enjoys and loves working with her Kitchen. Thank you all and may God bless you all".
