This project will provide a sustainable and credible living (food, shelter and other personal needs for healthy life) for women of the marginalized community especially the young (under 25 of age) divorcee. At the end of each training sections, we will be providing start-up kits to participants for immediate operation. The Initiative has come on board to train 100 carefully selected youths brought forward by the community head of communities identified in Kano State, Nigeria.
Records have it that for years now not up to 50% of children in the northern part of Nigeria attend school https://www.stearsng.com/article/welcome-to-the-poverty-capital-of-nigeria. Also, the numbers of failed marriages is alarming making it hard to feed resulting to begging on the streets. The needs assessment conducted and made available on the internet with physical sitting of the situation sows that these families are living a miserable life of Poverty but have seen it as a way of living.
The project shall solve the problem because it will allow for the following; - Sustainable solution to their current problems (by providing hand skills job and start-up kits for first production and services). - Creates job opportunity and income source. - An asset which not only enables them but let them help others. At the end we would have reduced the number of idle hands in the community.
The project would have empowered 100 women direct and far above 200 indirectly. This is because their business will be sustainable and other women will have to join in delivery orders that may be required from a single individual.
This project has provided additional documentation in a PDF file (projdoc.pdf).
