Scaling Up the Lifesaving...

By Muhammad Saddiq | Project Leader

Dear Colleagues,

It is great pleasure I write to update you on the status of our project "Lifesaving Intervention Project". I am excited to inform you that despite global challenges in 2020 due to covid19 pandemic, our project was successful. When we relaunched this project in 2020 after a little hitch in 2019, our goal was to reach 1000 pregnant women across 10 rural communities with this intervention ver the period of 12 months. We also planned to train 100 birth attendants on basic lifesaving skills. Even though our goal was not made but we are rught on track because of your comitment to saving lives.

In 2020, under this project, we are able to train 50 birth attendants and we also distributed 300 clean birth kits across 3 rural communities saving 300 babies and their mothers. In 2021, we are planning to scale up this project to additional 10 communities in plateau state and reach 1000 pregnant women as well as train 100 birth attendants on lifesaving skills. This wouldn't be possible without your generous support and I believe we will acieve our vision of seeing every pregnant woman in rural communities with unhindered access to quality maternal services at the point of child birth. We hope to reduce birth related maternal and child mortality in Nigeria rural areas.

I am glad to inform you that, we used your last quarter donations disburesd to us early this year to procure and assemble 300 lifesaving birth kits ready for distribution. We are looking forward to your continuos support in order to deliver this intervention to the pregnant women in rural plateau state of Nigeria this quarter.

On behalf of the rural women, I like to sincerely thank you for your generous support to save lives in Nigeria.

To keep you appraised of other programs and activites of our organization, I have also attached our annual activities report for your perusal.

Sincerely Yours

Muhammad Saddiq
