New Milestones Reached

Seattle Fundraiser Gala for Journey of Hope 2018

As a human being we do something which is like paying off to the world because some of us are fortunate in some ways than others. The fundraiser event in Seattle this Fall on September 22nd was a heartwarming success. A whopping turnover of two hundred and seventy guests in all their generosity helped not only reach but exceed our fundraising goal.

Shining Achievement - Spreeha’s First Graduates

Shabnaz and Afsana are Spreeha’s first star graduates. They recently completed their Bachelors degree with a 1st Class, majoring in Marketing from National University, Bangladesh. We are extremely proud of their achievement for being the first ones from Spreeha and their community to complete under graduation! These two girls struggled against all odds to reach this stage in their life. They have been with Spreeha for half a decade and is an inspiration to us all.

Education Program Update

Our project’s education program consists of four components: Preschool, afterschool, Scholarship and education counseling.

Preschool has 6 batches; each batch has 30 preschoolers. In this quarter, a total of 357 classes were conducted with 180 preschoolers.

Afterschool program operates through 4 types of clubs activities, namely- drawing, book reading, kid’s club, and cultural club. A total number of 120 students got enrolled in these clubs for 6 months period, from January till June 2018.

Scholarships are provided to the underprivileged students to prevent dropouts and to continue their higher studies. A total number of 3 students have received the scholarship this year.
