BACKGROUND
Life Lifters Kenya empowers rural girls to take control of their lives, make informed decisions about their lives, and advocate for their own rights and well-being. We are a registered non-governmental organization that invests in disenfranchised smart underprivileged rural girls to enable them to access quality education, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) information, and economic opportunities that positively impact their life outcomes.
OUR CURRENT APPROACH
Life Lifters Kenya employs a tripartite approach that;
Implemented through our Girls Educate program, Life Lifters provides disenfranchised smart underprivileged rural girls with comprehensive multi-year scholarships, back-to-school supplies, mentorship and training in sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR), leadership, and business. We intervene at a catalytic age of 13-19 and eliminate barriers that hinder high-school-aged rural girls from accessing quality education.
Implemented through our Wasichana Twashinda program, Life Lifters provides incubated rural girls with comprehensive Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) training. As an organization, we understand that SRHR issues are the major drivers of school dropouts for teenage girls in grassroots communities. To help more rural girls remain in school and transition to higher levels of learning, Life Lifters Kenya disseminates SRHR information to rural girls with the strategic goals of;
OUR STRATEGY IN THE NEXT 3 YEARS
Last month Life Lifters Kenya celebrated its one-year official anniversary. This anniversary comes with a new strategy and commitment that the organization has developed to empower and educate more rural girls. Life Lifters Kenya understands that it exists and operates in a highly volatile and somewhat chaotic environment that is grappled with many challenges that need solutions.
As an organization, we understand that meaningful impact can only be created using a well-thought-out step-by-step plan and that is why we introduced the Rural Girls Fund. Rural Girls Fund is a 3-year strategic plan that is committed to making strategic investments in smart underprivileged rural girls in Kenya. In the next 3 years, the fund would commit to;
This Fund communicates growth for our now-registered organization. It’s a step in the right direction and we are excited to have you as part of this journey. You have stood with us this far and made such an incredible impact on the now 40 girls that we serve in our Girls Educate and Twashinda program. We celebrate you and hope that you will continue walking with us.
