During the past three months we have been very busy. In the beginning of March, we came back from our annual trip to Orlando and Miami. 25 sick children with a parent joined a dream trip that they will never forget. The children will not stop talking about it. We visited Disney World and Universal Studios as well as many other attractions in the area.
Our Purim festival was Amazing. We put together a huge costume party. Over one thousand children and their families participated in the festivities. There was a raffle for Ipones and Xboxes. A concert starring "Moshe Peretz" "Katrix V'doron" and Yuval Hamibulbal" was the highlight of the party. The children did not stop dancing. There were makeup stands, arts and crafts tables, and many other activities.
Towards the end of March we arranged a small vacation for 30 families in Eilat. They spent three days having a blast and relaxing. They visited many attractions including the dolphin reef and underwater observatory. Vacations like this are very important for the families because they get to spend time together and away from the hospital.
On the Holiday of Lag Ba'omer we invited everyone to enjoy a day out in the zoo with many other attractions. We made a BBQ lunch for all the families and a small performance by Yuval Hamibulbal finished the day with many smiles.
While everyone was enjoying the day at the zoo on the other side of the world a group of 22 children had just landed in Los Angeles, for a week and a half long vacation on the west coast of the United States. They visited Universal Studios, Six Flags, and knots berry farm. They enjoyed a day touring the desert in jeeps and another on a lake doing all kinds of water sports. Every night was s another party full of dancing and lots of fun. The children came back refreshed and stronger than ever.
Besides all the special activities we had these three month we arranged many birthday parties for children. Our "B'not Sherut" were with the children daily, in their homes, and in the hospital making sure the children did not stop smiling throughout these hard times.
