The past three months have been really busy. During March we took thirty children with their families to an amazing three-day vacation in the sunny city of Eilat. They had a blast watching the dolphins, going on a short cruise and just hanging out on the beach. A week after that we threw a huge party for Purim. Over one thousand participants arrived all dressed up in costumes. “Kafe Sahor Hazak” and “Ben El Tavori”, two famous Israeli singers, came to entertain. There were many other celebrities that also joined to meet up with the children.
April was a busy month. Our volunteers visited the children daily in the hospital. We made birthday parties for children according to their wish. On the last day of Passover we made a “Mimuna” which is a traditional Moroccan celebration marking the end of the Passover holiday. Three hundred children and their families attended.
At the beginning of May we took twenty two children on an unforgettable trip to Los Angeles. During our two weeks there the children visited Universal Studios and Six Flags. They spent a day on a private lake doing all kinds of water sports and were treated to a huge BBQ lunch.
On “Lag Ba’omer” we invited three hundred children and their families to a zoo. There were many attractions including bouncy houses and an arts and crafts corner. Everyone was invited to a BBQ lunch as well.
