In front of the humanitarian emergency that is shaking Middle East end Europe, ACDI canalises founds to support a kindergarten build by AVSI Foundation in Iraq.
Sirian war caused a deep humanitarian crisis that affect Middle East and Europe. In terms of number of refugees, Iraq is one of the most compromised country. Nawadays, there are more than 3 millions "Internally Displaced People", the majority of them are Christians who escaped from ISIS persecutions. Between them there are thousand of children, the most vulnerable victims of this war.
This project is aimed to support AVSI Foundation's action in Erbil, the capital of Kurdistan, where AVSI built a kindergarten together with Caritas Iraq and the Patriarchy Caldeo. Nowadays, 130 children attend to "La casa del bambino Gesu", thanks to cure of a group of dominican nuns, who take care of their education, alimentation and health. This initiative its aimed to give this children the possibility to grow-up with education, seeing it as a key factor to build a better future.
AVSI Fundation can be identified as an organization that looks always after development, even if it's facing a humanitarian crisis. Material assistance has not impact in the long therm, so it's necessary to invest on something different, in the case on Education, "because education is the only hope for future generations". Since ACDI supports this position and pretend to face the emergency by distance, it decided to rise 5.000 euros in order to pay the school fee for 50 children during a year.
