From April through June 2026, the Honduras Food Bank provided direct assistance to 13,836 people from 34 vulnerable communities by distributing healthy food packages. This initiative helped improve access to nutritious food for families facing food insecurity, low incomes, and limited opportunities to obtain adequate nutrition.
The food baskets distributed included fresh foods and basic necessities, helping to improve nutrition in beneficiary households and reduce the impact of hunger and malnutrition in the communities served. Furthermore, this initiative promotes the responsible use of food fit for consumption, reducing food waste and generating a positive impact on both social and environmental levels.
Through this effort, the Honduras Food Bank continues to strengthen food security for the most vulnerable populations, improving the quality of life for thousands of families and reaffirming its commitment to sharing food and hope throughout the country.
