Project Report | Mar 19, 2026
Food distribution in vulnerable communities

By Eduardo Andrade | Head of Partnerships and Programs

From January through March 2026, we continuously carried out our food assistance program aimed at vulnerable communities. Over these three months, we distributed a total of 5,000 food packages, prioritizing areas with high levels of need and limited access to basic resources. All activities were carried out with a focus on solidarity and humanitarian aid, striving to reach families facing the greatest difficulties in a timely manner.

This quarter, we reached 34 communities located in the central and northern regions of Honduras, directly benefiting 13,836 people, equivalent to 3,459 families. This outreach represents a significant step forward in our efforts to strengthen food security, as each delivery helps improve living conditions in households facing significant hardships.

The food packages distributed included healthy foods such as fruits and vegetables, as well as cleaning and personal hygiene products, with the aim of promoting comprehensive care that contributes not only to nutrition but also to well-being and disease prevention. Deliveries were made in the departments of Cortés, Santa Bárbara, Atlántida, and Francisco Morazán, where priority needs were identified and the corresponding community logistics were organized.

This work is made possible by the coming together of different efforts and the coordination of individuals committed to social well-being. The assistance received from various donors has been essential to expanding the program’s reach, notably including contributions channeled through the GlobalGiving platform, which have enabled us to strengthen our response capacity and reach more families who now depend on this support to get by.
