Have you Heard about HIV In young people
For nearly four decades, La Casa de la Sal has worked alongside people living with HIV in Mexico, providing comprehensive support and promoting dignity and hope. Through this experience, we have learned that prevention among young people is essential to stopping the spread of HIV.
Today, thousands of adolescents and young people in Mexico still lack access to reliable information about sexual health and HIV prevention. Many rely on misinformation from the internet or social media, which increases their vulnerability to new infections and reinforces stigma surrounding HIV.
Through our Comprehensive Sexual Education program, La Casa de la Sal works continuously with children, adolescents, and young people between the ages of 10 and 29.
Using participatory and age-appropriate educational methodologies, we create safe spaces where young people can ask questions, challenge myths about sexuality and HIV, and learn about self-care, emotional wellbeing, and respectful relationships.
