FAWEZI is excited to begin funding the construction of a classroom block for primary school children in Chechiri. Chechiri is a fairly new resettlement area. The area is far away from social amenities like hospitals, schools and shops. FAWEZI hopes that this project will avail a safer and conducive learning environment for the children. Currently, the nearest school to the area is East Range Primary, which 7km away followed by Pfupi Primary, which is 8.9 km away. Roads in-between are bushy and infested with snakes thus dangerous for kids. FAWEZI thinks this project is of the upmost importance, unfortunately we are not quite prepared to begin the large scale funding of it necessary with the other programmes we have going on. We are therefore putting the project on hold but hoping to mobilise and reactivate it on global giving with a bang in the coming months, stay tuned!
